MAM

MAM – Mother of Alphonse Marie, her own name was Elizabeth Eppinger.

I worked on the portrait of MAM before I created her figurative sculpture. I modelled the bust after one of the last photographs I took of her a few days before her death. The photograph is unedited and captures her true character from a slight perspective. The face looks obviously optimistic, with a sincere smile.
